Rieter Spinning Center Opens in China
For those in need of spinning tests, all four end spinning technologies are now immediately available in the Rieter SpinCenter in Changzhou, China. Located there are is G 32/35 ring spinning machine, a K 44/45 compact spinning machine, R 60 and R 923 rotor spinning machines, and also a J 20 air-jet spinning machine. Reiter also has a SpinCenter in Winterthur, Switzerland.
In order to carry out tests, customers provide a card sliver which Rieter processes into finished yarn. Rieter thereby demonstrates the optimal process stages from spinning preparation through end spinning.
In the SpinCenter, tests start with the autoleveler draw frame. According to customers’ orders and the type of raw material provided, carded or combed ring yarns, compact yarns, rotor yarns or air-jet yarns are spun.
On the spinning end of the machine, yarn characteristics for the subsequent textile application are optimized. All yarns are tested for their wearing properties in the fully equipped Rieter textile laboratory which is affiliated with the SpinCenter. The yarn data together with ideal setting instructions effectively create a “recipe” for yarn manufacturing, which is summarized in a report for the customer.
What Rieter cites as special about the customer spinning tests is that customers receive process recommendations covering the entire spinning preparation, not just setting recommendations for end spinning machines. For the air-jet spinning process, it is very important to adhere to the process recommendations in spinning preparation in order to achieve a high level of efficiency, the company says.
